Rugby based fundraising team, spreading the rugby ethos and team spirit to charities and individuals that need it most.
We are a group of local rugby players coming to the end of our playing days, so we have decided it is time to apply some of the hard work, dedication and commitment to something new. As we all know, the game of rugby provides a huge family and network of support to help players through many of life’s challenges. Unfortunately, not everyone is lucky enough to have this support network and it is our passion to help offer this to those that need it most.
Maul Together’s first challenge was in 2021, cycling the iconic challenge of John O’Groats to Lands End over 9 Days - 958.5 Miles, raising over £55,000. Then in 2023 Maul Together cycled from the Bridgnorth Edgar Davies Ground (EDG) to Paris, over 3 Days & 300 miles raising over £23,000. All funds going to My Name’5 Doddie Foundation & Matt Hampson Foundation.
Now Maul Together are back in 2025, Maul Together will be taking on an awareness ride in support of three incredible charities: Matt Hampson Foundation, My Name’5 Doddie Foundation & 4ED (Gloucester Rugby Foundation). Starting at the Bridgnorth EDG, we’ll cycle to the Matt Hampson Foundation, then press on to Kingsholm Stadium, home of Gloucester Rugby (2 days and 200 miles) — uniting the rugby community every mile of the way. This ride isn’t just about the distance — it’s about raising awareness for the inspirational work these charities do in the fight against life-changing injuries and MND.
