Rugby based fundraising team, spreading the rugby ethos and team spirit to charities and individuals that need it most.
We are a group of local rugby players coming to the end of our playing days, so we have decided it is time to apply some of the hard work, dedication and commitment to something new. As we all know, the game of rugby provides a huge family and network of support to help players through many of life’s challenges. Unfortunately, not everyone is lucky enough to have this support network and it is our passion to help offer this to those that need it most.
Maul Together – Riding for a Cause
Maul Together’s first challenge took place in 2021: cycling from John O’Groats to Land’s End in 9 days, covering 958.5 miles and raising over £55,000. In 2023, the team cycled 300 miles in 3 days from Bridgnorth’s Edgar Davies Ground (EDG) to Paris, raising more than £23,000. All funds supported the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation and the Matt Hampson Foundation.
In 2025, Maul Together took on an awareness ride supporting three incredible charities: the Matt Hampson Foundation, My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, and 4ED (Gloucester Rugby Foundation). The ride was from Bridgnorth to the inspirational Matt Hampson foundation, via Leicester Tigers and onto Kingsholm Stadium, home of Gloucester Rugby & 4ED. 200 miles over 2 days, raising nearly £14,000.
