JOGLE Blog - Apr’21 Apr 30 Written By Maul Together This is our Everest! eEd’s April Challenge was to get the team hitting the hills. We needed to cycle over 29,032 ft during April - the height of Everest!Good thing most of us live in Shropshire and are surrounded by a lot of hills! The best place to start hitting hills is around Clee Hill & Ludlow! April was a very hot dry month so we managed to get out on some great days like this. One thing that is difficult to learn - getting out of your clips at a junction! We managed to catch Cal here but this happened A LOT with most of the team!!! It’s so funny when that moment comes when you realise you’ve stopped moving and you can’t unclip so you just falling in slow motion!!!!! Finally the Beer gardens re-opened after Lockdown 3! And Dan cycled straight down to the Bridgnorth EDG Beer Garden for a pint of HPA! Ouch! The lads have ben putting their bodys on the line! A few of the lads had come off their bikes due to pot holes and gravel including here!Thank god for helmets! Here is the final results from the April Challenge with 5 of the lads making it to the top of Everest! That was a touch challenge but will be nothing compared to the 47,675 ft we will be doing over 9 days from John O’Groats to Lands End! Maul Together
